Awesome
Todays post deal in some way, shape, or form with awesome.
Our first article talks about a man who changed his name to Capt. Awesome. I'm reminded of a National Guardsman who in 2003 changed his name to Optimus Prime. A much cooler choice, you can google this he also had online fights with a guy who changed his middle name to Megatron. Also this image is somewhat related and awesome.
A man misses his train and the train misses him.It's awesome for the guy who jumps down to get him off the tracks before the train hits him.
Triceracopter. That is all.
I'm sure the homeless were freaked out while this was being filmed. Video achieves an awesome (old definition of the word) level of bizarreness. (Blogger is telling me bizarrity is not a word.)
Pirates attacked by vuvuzelas. It's not what you think but its worth checking out.
Also I appologize for yesterdays post. It was long and meandering, but I hope you at least learned something from it...other then that I'm a bad writer.

The more you know.
What does this and this have in common.
Surprising little.
The only thing these two share is the region of Sankt Pauli. An area in Hamburg, Germany. The beer was originally brewed there, and the soccer team are still located there.
This region is the red light district of present day Hamburg. But in the past it was a dumping ground for the undesirables of society. Mostly any business or people considered too gross or foul smelling for Hamburg.
First off the beer was originally brewed here, only to eventually move to Bremen, but they kept the name. It is also a German beer that is not sold in Germany. Due to St. Pauli being synonymous with the red light district it would be like calling an American brew hooker beer or streetwalker beer. The clothing the girl is wearing is Bavarian (the far southern region of Germany, nowhere near St. Pauli.) So this beer has very little to do with the region anymore.
The Soccer Club (FC St. Pauli) plays in the region and even though it was faced with relegation (being forced down to a lower league due to coming in the last two spots), has risen back to the Bundesliga (highest level of German soccer). This is due to their unique fans. Their fans raised money for the teams to buy better players. Wikipedia doesn't mention a certain fact that every German has told me about this. The money was supposedly raised by the prostitutes in the red light district, (although I supposed there were many other fans who were willing to help by supporting local businesses). This year is only the 2nd year they've been in the Bundesliga since the 1999-2000 season. They are also commonly known as the Buccaneers of the League, the Brothel of the League or the Fun-house of the League.
Do a google search on this town it has a lot of fun reading associated with it.

Technology
A couple of links dealing with tech: good, bad, ugly, beautiful. We've got all the bases covered.
First up two links stolen from Greypaw.
Focused sunlight is powerful enough to melt steel, or rocks. In fact they state there is no substance on earth that can stand up to it.
An innovative doorknob. Could be useful, would definitely take some getting used to.
Finally someone thinks about the hardcore gamers out there.
I'm assuming this is justwell named wireless network but given the way the American intelligence community is...there's an outside chance you might want to stop any illegal activities if this shows up.
Not really tech related butAwesome Samus cosplay.
I saved this one for last so I could squeeze in a tangent. Japan promises amazing technology for 2022 world cup. Some of this technology is so amazing I would have been willing to see Japan host the World Cup for these items.
However Japan will not be hosting the 2022 World Cup as Qatar won the right to host it, and Russia won the bid for 2018.

Oh those wacky Iranians, (and Koreans)
With the recent wiki leaks release, one of the things that came out was that North Korea (no I will not call it Best Korea.) has less missles then we thought. Yeah! Unfortunetly that's because they were sold to Iran.
