Something funny to keep you occupied. Ruined...or made better. Some of these are definetly better.

Do they eat quarter pounders in what?

The Deadpool script has been leaked. I'm debating whether or not to download this, the last leaked script I downloaded never got made.

But the snippets I've read online sound like the writers know the material.

Writer creates Venn Diagrams of peoples believes about ethnic food vs the actual food. If your not interested in this you still need to read the last diagram. Actually pretty interesting, but the build up to the last one is what makes it worth it.

To my legion of fan and the other fan

I missed posting today, so I'm posting on my lunch break. Don't have time to post anything great so I guess I'll have to make up for it tomorrow.

Good luck to Texas who is up 2-0 in Game 1 of the World Series right now.

Way to cover your bases.

I don't have much today so here's a quick post before work.

This article talks about how Bengie Molina will get a World Series ring no matter who wins. Because he was traded from the Giants to the Rangers halfway through the season.

Return of the Link Dump

Ahhh the Link dump, the time when I say, these links don't have enough in common. Time to throw them at people before they become old news.

The correct way to tip everyone...incluing your sherpa, for your not so great trip to Mt. Everest.

Because I like flow chars here is a flow chart dealing with Cliche Female Characters in media.

...and here is one dealing with every RPG ever made.

Not really a flow chart, but instructions on a task with graphics. SO they get lumped in too. How to pet a kitty.

And the real size of Africa. Really this deals more with how our maps change our perceptions of the sizes of countries, just becasue the way they are presented doesn't show them at a good relative size.

Why did no one tell me Deadpool shows up in Hulk vs Wolverine?

Baseball...again.

The Rangers beat the Yankees last night, which means that if Seattle and Washington DC get to the World Series every team will have played in the fall classic (What's more they'll have all been there since the Cubs were last there.(1945 for those that care. 1908 is the last time they won the world series.))

Yes the Yankees are the most hated team in baseball, but why is that? I argue it's because of fans like this one.

The headline on Fark.com was "Chuck Norris roundhouse-kicked George Steinbrenner's tombstone so hard, it sent the Texas Rangers to the World Series." A runner up was "A-rod finally gets the Rangers to the World Series."

So congrats to the Rangers, now can you guys try to be the first Texas team to win a game in the World Series. Seriously don't get swept like the Astros.

Controversy

A video about saving the environmnent. Some people have a problem with this. Warning: Gore (not Al Gore, like blood and such.)

I find this funny, (it just seems like a weird British humor skit to me, (IE Monty Python)) but I can see how people would hate this.

This is the website to the group who made the video. They took the video down after people got upset over it. Thankfully people are still upset about it and you can find the video on youtube.

Baseball

I've been making mention of how the Texas Rangers have already gotten further in the playoffs then they ever have before. The Rangers were originally the Washington Senators, in 1961. They became the Rangers in 1972 when they moved to Arlington. Throughout their 50 years history they had only won one playoff game in 3 playoff series before this year. Now the Rangers are one game away from their first AL Pennant. Only 3 teams (out of 30) at the moment have never won a pennant. They are the Rangers, the Seattle Mariners, and the Washington Nationals (who used to be the Montreal Expos).

On the other side we have the San Fransisco Giants who have not won a world series since 1954 back when they were the New York Giants. They are also one game away from a pennant. Granted they have been to the world series since then, but if these two teams get to the World Series. We will be guaranteed a new champion or a champion that hasn't won since Eisenhower was the president.

In fact looking online I was surprised to find out that even though only 8 (out of 30) teams get into the playoffs, only five teams haven't been in the playoffs in the last 10 years. In fact all but 7 have been in the playoffs in the last 5 years.

This wouldn't be surprising in the NHL or NBA were more then half the teams get in the playoffs. (16 out of 30 teams for both leagues.)In fact their longest droughts are 9 years for the NHL and 6 years for the NBA.

Well let me wrap up this long post by saying good luck to the Rangers and Giants.

IF you are interested here is the list of baseballs various playoff droughts.

This blog looks weird without titles.

So Anonymous has a new target, the MPAA and by association Gene Simmons.

And for your viewing pleasure the Black Hole. Not the Disney movie.

And congrats again to the Texas Rangers this time for beating the Yankees twice in one post-season series, that's once more then they did in the last 3 times this happened. They now have a 2-1 game lead in the series.

To celebrate here is the now president of the Texas Rangers, Nolan Ryan, beating up a man 20 years younger then him. Evidently he only hands out beating through his team, not for them anymore.

Welcome to the new Time to make the Donuts.

Our archives will remain here, for those who wish to view them.

Unfortunetly we start off this new space for the blog with some sad news.
