Sports update

Former St. Pauli player admits to taking bribes in 2008.

America's longest serving national soccer player is retiring. Only American to ever play in 5 World Cups, youngest person to score a goal for the US National Team, oldest person to ever score a goal for the US National Team.

It takes dedication to be part of a winning team. But for Remi all it takes is a jersey and the audacity to sneak onto the field. That's right Remi's back. How is this guy not in jail?

Technology

A couple of links dealing with tech: good, bad, ugly, beautiful. We've got all the bases covered.

First up two links stolen from Greypaw.
Focused sunlight is powerful enough to melt steel, or rocks. In fact they state there is no substance on earth that can stand up to it.

An innovative doorknob. Could be useful, would definitely take some getting used to.

Finally someone thinks about the hardcore gamers out there.

I'm assuming this is justwell named wireless network but given the way the American intelligence community is...there's an outside chance you might want to stop any illegal activities if this shows up.

I saved this one for last so I could squeeze in a tangent. Japan promises amazing technology for 2022 world cup. Some of this technology is so amazing I would have been willing to see Japan host the World Cup for these items.

However Japan will not be hosting the 2022 World Cup as Qatar won the right to host it, and Russia won the bid for 2018.
